3. Tensai
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygXaHYnyzq0 When WWE brought in the former Albert/A-Train in the role of Tensai in 2012 (originally it was Lord Tensai), they did so without acknowledging his former name. All they would say was that he used to be in WWE and they wouldn't even talk about it. It's typical of WWE to insult the intelligence of the fans. They booked Tensai so hard from the beginning that they even had him score wins over the likes of John Cena and CM Punk on television. The goal was to make Tensai a top heel. It didn't work. Fans didn't care enough about him and eventually they got rid of the gimmick. Then he joined Brodus Clay in the dancing fat guys known as Tons of Funk. It was the complete opposite of what he was supposed to be. Basically, it was WWE's way of acknowledging that it was a total failure. What was up with beating up Sakamoto all the time? Sakamoto was a Japanese guy that was his servant that kept getting abused by Tensai. If it was leading to something like Sakamoto getting revenge and then becoming a star then it would have made sense. Instead, it was just something thrown out there to give them something to do. These days, Tensai is considered retired from in-ring competition and has assumed the role of Jason Alberts as a commentator on NXT. It actually seems like a good fit for him, so it's nice to see that. It's still fair to call Tensai a major flop.
