WWE: 7 Superstars Who Had Supernatural Powers

7. Mordecai

"You can't hide your darkest thoughts from me." That was Mordecai. He told us about how we couldn't hide from him and that the day of reckoning was upon us. That didn't really happen. All that happened was he arrived, didn't last long and he was gone. In the match above from Judgment Day 2004 against Scotty 2 Hotty, Mordecai had the power to light the set on fire just by slamming his sword into the crowd. Mordecai had some kind of super powers, but we never really got to know what they were because the gimmick ended so suddenly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXzOJ9leBrc In an interview regarding the Mordecai character, Kevin Thorn explained to About.com that it wasn't a creative issue that ended Mordecai: "It was a mixture of mine and Vince's idea. The main reason it was dropped so soon was because I got into a fight in a bar and got into some trouble with a lawsuit. WWE just didn't want to take the risk of keeping me on board and getting sued or so-on and so-forth." While Thorn might actually believe that answer as the truth, it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Mordecai wasn't going to work. Plenty of wrestlers have had bar fights. If the character was good, it would have continued.
