WWE: 7 Ways To Book John Cena Through To SummerSlam 2014

7. The Next Target Of Bad News Barrett

This week's edition of Raw and Smackdown saw Wade Barrett win matches decisively. After months of sitting on the sidelines except for when he had "bad news" for people, Barrett finally got back to being a wrestler. It appears as though he's going to get a renewed push after this character reset. That's a good sign because he's a talented guy that can cut a promo and is very solid in the ring too. There's history here also. Barrett was the leader of the Nexus when Cena was "fired" from WWE and also was forced to work with the group even though he didn't want to. They had a number of matches together. While none of them would be considered great, they were good enough. Heading into 2011 and 2012, Barrett was a guy that I thought would win Money in the Bank or be pushed to the point where he became a World Champion. That didn't happen. In 2014, there are others that could be in his way, but if he's booked correctly he's somebody that can still be considered a top guy. If WWE wants people to take Barrett seriously then they should think about a feud between him and Cena.
