WWE: 7 Ways To Fix Raw Right Now

5. Avoid Being Repetitive

As much as WWE likes to promote the idea that Raw is some unpredictable, exciting show it really isn't that anymore. Maybe it was 15 years ago when Steve Austin would do something crazy to Vince McMahon, but these days it's very predictable. We know that an opening promo is going to set up a big match for later. We know that at the top of every hour there's going to be a more important match or segment. We know that when a guy gets knocked outside the ring they're going to a commercial. It's like that "I Didn't Do It" episode of The Simpsons when Bart said that it was his job to be repetitive as he said "repetitiveness is my job" multiple times. That was a funny joke. That's what Raw is now. When the show is too repetitive it leads to people tuning out during certain parts. They might change the channel at 8:45pmET of the show because they know it's not going to be as important as what happens at 9pmET. The key thing is to make every segment matter just a bit more.
