WWE: 7 Ways To Fix Raw Right Now

2. Bring Back Steve Austin, The Rock & Others As Guest Hosts

When "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returned to WWE in the opening segment of WrestleMania 30 he received what was probably the second biggest ovation of the night after Daniel Bryan. I was there. It was monstrous. A big reason why it was so big is because it had been so long since he was on WWE TV in that capacity. He hasn't been on Raw in three years. What WWE should do is announce at least two weeks in advance that Austin is going to return to Raw as a one night only guest host. Let him promote his podcast, his TV show and whatever else he wants. He's a big name. If people know that he's going to be on Raw that night they are going to let their buddies know that Stone Cold is back in WWE. Speculation will run wild. People will get excited. That's what Raw needs. Even though he's nearly 50 years old and hasn't had a match in 11 years, Austin's a guy that has earned respect everywhere he goes. Fans love the guy. Make the call, bring him back for one night, have him set up matches, hit some Stunners on some joke heels (hello 3MB) and make Raw a fun show. There's nothing wrong with guest hosts if they are people we want to see - especially when it's the most popular guy ever like Steve Austin. If Austin is a success then consider calling The Rock up and seeing if he can come in for one night to host Raw once too. Consider other legends too. Once again it's about presenting something different from the norm. Seeing legends interacting with current stars would be something the average fan would want to see.
