WWE: 7 Wrestlers Who Should Be Massive Stars

6. Beth Phoenix

beth phoenix Beth Phoenix exploded into the WWE in 2007, brandishing a new gimmick, the Glamazon. She was strong, powerful and dominated the entire roster of WWE Diva's. In a Diva's division that sorely needed its own version of "the woman", Beth was the tops. She captured the WWE Women's Championship in October of 2007, and held it for six months. By the time she left the company for personal reasons, the division had slowly deteriorated. Beth's rise was just as quick as her seemingly instant fall. She was massively over, and the crowd was into her, despite the crushing villain that she played. Her multiple reigns with the WWE Women's Championship were impressive, and she carried the title with so much legitimate power, that she was always credible. She was so credible, in fact, that you could always buy her with the title, and it made beating her a big deal. It's one of the things that is missing in the division, a Diva that you believe in. Whether she's a babyface or a heel, you do need that one dominant Diva who bulldozes the competition. And with Beth, you had that. She made the division exciting, and it immediately made every other Diva an underdog. As her push slowly died, so did the WWE's faith in her. She was lumped into a terrible romance angle with Santino, and drafted to SmackDown. While a switch to the blue brand can sometimes be helpful to a wrestler, it ultimately hurt Beth's character. And while it seemed as though she was being prepared to reclaim her former throne, holding the Diva's Championship for 204 days, her reign was somewhat uneventful. She should have been the next Trish Stratus, but was never fully appreciated by management for what they had. But she's currently a new mom with former WWE Champion Edge, so perhaps she was the biggest winner of all.
