WWE: 8 Great Moments That Took Place On Post WrestleMania RAWs

5. Ric Flair's Retirement - WrestleMania 24

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYGaiMRMWWc Ric Flair once said the words "I'll never retire" but Mr McMahon had something to say about that on an episode of RAW in 2007. He made the announcement that the next time Ric Flair loses his career would be over. Flair would then face off against various heels like MVP and Mr Kennedy who were trying to define their careers as the one to retire the legend of Ric Flair. Both were unable to do so, but a new challenger appeared, and that was Shawn Michaels. Michaels originally refused to face Flair, but Flair stated that he wouldn't keep on wrestling if he couldn't face the best in the WWE. HBK went on to face Flair at Wrestlemania 24, and just before he finished off Flair he said the famous words "I'm sorry, I love you" and then proceeded to retire Flair. The next night on RAW, Flair was invited to the ring by Triple H who then brought out various wrestlers from Ric Flair's past like memembers from The Four Horsemen, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and the man who retired Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels. This is Ric Flair though, and that wasn't enough for him so every member on the roster came out, and stood on the stage/ramp, and clapped for Ric Flair. Heels and faces didn't matter on this night, it was all about respect.
