3. The Rock And John Cena Confirm Their Match For Next Year - WrestleMania 27

For many years both Rock and Cena seemed interested in doing the match, but it seemed like it may never happen. That was until 2011, and a "guest host" for Wrestlemania 27 was announced, but a name wasn't confirmed. The next week on RAW, The Rock walked down the ramp into the WWE ring for the first time in 7 years, and confirmed he was the guest host for Wrestlemania. During his promo he called out John Cena which started 6 weeks of back and forth insults between the two. The last RAW before Wrestlemania 27 featured Cena and Rock being in the ring for the first time ever. Cena attacked The Rock when he was not looking which was the first contact made between the two. At Wrestlemania 27 The Rock helped The Miz retain his title against John Cena. The next night on RAW Cena called out The Rock, and the two faced off once again. This time Cena said "The time for talking is over" and that the fans wanted a match between the two. Rock accepted the match for Wrestlemania 28 which is the first time in WWE history a match was made a year in advance. It was a great moment because the fans finally got what they asked years for, a match between The Rock and John Cena. We had almost gave up hope.
