WWE: 8 Improvements To Make Wrestling Great Again
Over the past decade WWE has tried to change itself to appeal to a grander audience without the backlash of all the self-righteous parents brigades jumping up and shouting every time a member of the roster makes a penis joke. To WWEs credit this is a project they have implemented admirably as the show is still enjoyable and indeed doesnt have as many controversial moments for the kiddies to potentially crap themselves over. But there comes a time in any projects life where those responsible must take a step back and re-evaluate money making elements that were removed for the greater good and see if they can be revived within the current environment. In my eyes there are several pieces of a forgotten puzzle that would slot in quite nicely during todays PG era without all the parents groups declaring Vinnie Mac as the devil. Indeed some of what I will go on to list, in the attitude era, were quite the cause for concern for todays mums but others I will list are simply elements removed due to the evolution of the product at a time when these elements probably could have been sacrificed. Whether that was because money could be made elsewhere or at the time of removal, simply werent relevant. What follows will be a trip down memory lane as well as a presentation as to why and where these could be incorporate into todays programming. I will say it right off the bat that I am most definitely not saying we need all the blood, cursing and boobs that the attitude era so willingly gave away to its viewers but instead an evolution of what was, but in todays environment. So please, follow me as I recall some of the more entertaining elements of past WWE television and try to flip them on their head in such a way that even squeaky clean John Cena could be affiliated. Who knows, you may even realise you missed things that you didnt realise werent there anymore.
