8. Tables
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMhR5CAn4Wk I start with a very soft and silly choice in all honesty as tables are still occasionally used within WWE but I ask you this, when was the last time you saw a table bump during WWE programming? I can only assume that it was likely during the TLC Pay Per View which was held 16th December, over 4 months ago and before that I couldnt even hazard a guess. Maybe when AJ pushed Punk and Bryan off the top turnbuckle which was.crazy months ago! There is of course an argument to say that the more certain elements are held form us, the more we will enjoy them when we see them. Its true that when someone finally dives under the ring and pulls out a table there is more of a sense of awe than there was when the Dudleys were bombing lasss through the wood on a weekly basis. My argument with tables is that we want to see them more! The only reason I can come up with is that they were removed alongside chair shots to the head and blading as they caught under the same violence umbrella. I disagree completely as its a fun spectacle to witness and you could hardly class a wrestler being chucked through a table as overly violent. Theres nothing quite like seeing a table bump and the fact we are robbed of seeing them more than twice a year I take as insulting. To me it just looks awesome and gets the crowd off their seats quite easily. Every so often throwing a table bump into the mix will give the audience a buzz especially if it comes on free TV. Its too obvious that a four legged wooden platform will be used at the TLC PPV because, well, its part of the name so where is the wonder when one emerges? Its nowhere because were expecting it. And maybe thats my point with the inclusion of tables in this list; we love them so why hold the rights to them to one date a year. We demand more broken wood dammit!
