WWE: 8 Improvements To Make Wrestling Great Again

6. Full-Time Heel Commentator

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3vpoB1PTww Anyone else getting a little tired of the two goody two shoes sat behind the desk on Monday Night Raw? Both Cole and Lawler are good commentators of that there is no doubt but who€™s there to big up the heels who the faces will likely roll over? JBL that€™s who but he€™s only part time and only for Smackdown!, leaving the flagship show a big gooey mess of good guy pandering. As most will be aware a heel commentator is just as necessary as the face. His putting over of the heels makes them seem more of a threat to the face€™s momentum. Jerry Lawler used to fill this role amazingly well as he loved the bad guys, was obsessed with boobies and made people laugh. Cole on the other hand simply can€™t be a heel as he comes across as an arrogant weasel of a man who€™s brain doesn€™t work fast enough to realise that he can€™t just bury the faces. It€™s a slippery tightrope being the commentator we all want to disagree with but something that needs to be looked at going forward. The pairing on RAW right now is simply two dimensional and offers very little in terms of adding to the build to a feud. Either get JBL on full-time or move Paul Heyman to the desk because after Lawler thankfully made a full recovery from a heart attack, no one could boo him or his thoughts. I€™m not saying a heel commentator should call for blood or shout €œPUPPIES€ every two seconds, just balance out the soft centred mess that Cole and Lawler produce.
