5. Diva Affiliation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsOlM5GSsBw If there is one division in the whole of the wrestling industry that needs some serious attention its the WWE Divas. The amount of genuinely entertaining Divas who have recently left have obviously attributed to this but they were going nowhere fast before Beth, Eve etc. left for pastures new. Lets take a look back at when Divas used to get an actual reaction and were much more than simply filling the toilet break slot. Back when Trish, Lita, Molly Holly, Stacey Keibler, Ivory at el where the stars of female wrestling; the Attitude era of course. Naturally one of the big reasons these ladies were so popular was that they were all pretty hot and were allowed to flaunt it which was no skin off any fans nose but for me, the main reason these girls got over so well was there almost constant affiliation with superstars or teams. Trish had T+A/Vince, Lita Essa Rios then the Hardys, Molly the Crash Cousins and later Greg Helms, Stacey the Dudleys among everyone else and Ivory the RTC. It may come over as slightly sexist but the only way a woman can get over in such an adrenaline fuelled arena is for them first to associate with an individual or team who are already over to act as a manager. It gets their name mentioned and with interference, they can be the main talking points to the outcome of a match. The current flock of divas are just as attractive as they were over a decade ago, if not more so and how they dress much more accordingly is to be commended so this isnt an issue. They just need to have a couple of burly men watching their backs while they carve a name for themselves in the Divas division.
