WWE: 8 Matches That Should Happen At WrestleMania 30

Extreme Rules Match

Dean Ambrose Vs Curtis Axel

Match 5 Curtis Axel has finally found a hook and a manager over enough to bring him to the fore immediately. It€™s a dam good thing too considering this guy has a ton of talent to offer. His alignment with Paul Heyman just means he won€™t get lost in the scrum for TV time. Ambrose has all the charisma in the world and over the next year, will really start to show why everyone is excited about his work. As the current US champion it€™s obvious he is getting his single push before his fellow Shield members and will therefore garner more reaction as the year continues after his head start. With Axel being a work horse and Ambrose being a former CZW TOD participant, the match would be brutal, entertaining and in my eyes, would rival any other similar match that has gone before it. Both men will want to stand tall making their singles WrestleMania debut. This will be more of a narrative than the previous matches and marks the beginning of the main events. Part way through the year a mutual agreement between The Shield and Heyman is established. This could stem from The Shield attacking an opponent of Axel€™s on RAW who has some beef with The Shield. As the hounds take the aforementioned superstar apart, we merely see Axel and Heyman laughing as they walk up the ramp. The next week on RAW Paul declares that neither he, nor his clients have any business with The Shield but that mutual respect goes a long way. Over the next few months we see the two parties extend the respect but only sparingly, with the commentators making is fully aware of the situation. On occasion we may even see Axel team with The Shield for mutual gain. As all relationships in wrestling go, this eventually runs into a brick wall. During the Royal Rumble, Axel and Ambrose clean house and are the only two men left at a particular stage. It becomes clear after the next two entrants come out that the two have an unspoken agreement to work together after dispatching them easily. Eventually though, Axel decides that Ambrose is much too close to the ropes for his own good and throws him over. The following night, Ambrose makes a point of stating that he understand why Axel did what he did and is only annoyed that he didn€™t do it first. He does go on to say however that the mutual respect for Axel is over, to the disagreement of his other Shield members. Naturally Axel and Paul make their claims that all is fair in wrestling and eventually, the two sides agree that the Rumble was indeed every man for themself. Ambrose still seems to simmer but agrees with the rest so as not to become distracted. Come Elimination chamber however both men are placed in the steel to become contender for the World Title. Ambrose starts the match while Axel waits in a pod awaiting entrance to the cage. As soon as the spotlight shines on Curtis, Ambrose makes a bee line for him and lets out all his frustrations. Throwing Axel into the steel, the glass and eventually hitting his finisher on the steel floor outside the ring. Ambrose ends the match without winning but looks pleased with himself as it relates to Axel. From then on the two become sadistic towards each other and the two find it hard to even be in the same arena. Brawls take place at all times as we see the two really take it to each other. Each man€™s team mates and acquaintances refuse to get involved and leave them to it. Eventually the GM has enough and invokes a no contact clause and makes the match at €˜Mania to finally settle the issue. Winner: Curtis Axel I don€™t think it would really matter who won as the two would no doubt put on one hell of a show but I feel the most amount of sympathy felt, if at all, would fall upon Axel seeing as he wasn€™t the initial aggressor. I could see Axel turning during this and a nice fan reaction would go a long way. Click Below for The World Heavyweight Championship Match€
