WWE: 8 Matches To Make The Perfect UK PPV

2. Daniel Bryan vs. William Regal (Retirement Match)

This one is sheer sentimentality and would be a perfect send of for one of the UK's all-time greatest wrestlers. Regal has been retired in earnest from in-ring competition since late 2013 but has never featured in an official retirement match or storyline. This would serve to officially draw the curtain on Regal's in-ring career and Daniel Bryan is the absolute perfect opponent for such an occasion. Whilst WWE likes to tout Shawn Michaels' influence on Bryan's career, the truth is William Regal did the most to mould the immense talent of Bryan in Memphis Championship Wrestling, when it served as the WWE's developmental territory in 2000-01. Regal has frequently said that he believes Bryan as the only wrestler he's ever faced whom he could not out-work. Therefore this match needs only an announcement and the rest would fall into place. Regal would put over Bryan in time honorued tradition in an excellent match and receive a rousing round of applause as he takes his final walk up the aisle. It's really a no-brainer.

Betting on being a brilliant brother to Bodhi since 2008 (-1 Asian Handicap). Find me @LiamJJohnson on Twitter where you might find some wonderful pearls of wisdom in a stout cocktail of profanity, football discussion and general musings. Or you might not. Depends how red my eyes are.
