1. Daniel Bryan Plays Sideshow In Bad Horror Movie
It isnt even debatable that Daniel Bryan is the most popular superstar on the roster right now. He gets the biggest crowd reactions by far, and he elevated WrestleMania XXX to a truly special event. So naturally, even though there are no titles on the line, the Shield vs. Evolution is the real main event feud going on right now. Bryan, meanwhile, has been minimized since his crowning achievement. A large part of that isnt his fault he had a honeymoon and an untimely death in the family that forced him to miss time but the booking has been terrible regardless. Its mind-numbing to see Bryan and Brie having to act scared of a 47-year-old guy who was wrestling shirtless in dress pants and dress shoes a month ago a wrestler Bryan beat decisively multiple times leading up to WrestleMania. But alas, Kane has donned the mask again, so he is now the villain in this bad horror movie, while Brie shrieks and tries to flee as Bryan fights valiantly but futilely. What makes this shocking is that Bryan has gone from the underdog who inspired crowds to chant and cheer louder than they have at a WWE event in years, to a guy with a belt who is forced to save his damsel-in-distress and fight a cartoonish bad guy. WWE, you have your world title around the waist of your most popular wrestler. This isnt hard to book.
