WWE: 8 Most Shocking Results In Extreme Rules History

5. Sheamus Beats Triple H - Extreme Rules 2010

Also taking place at Extreme Rules 2010 was Sheamus vs Triple H. This was a brawling feud which had started at Elimination Chamber, taking in WrestleMania 26 where 'The Game' had left victorious. The reality behind the pair working together was that they got on well backstage, they trained in the gym together and Hunter like Sheamus's attitude. Truth be told, it was probably as much a case of 'flattery getting you everywhere'. Extreme Rules 2010 was a continuation of the feud, the two foes this time meeting in a 'street fight'. The Irishman had attacked Hunter at the start of the event with a pipe, building upon this with further blows in the actual match. It was a full on brawl, which Sheamus eventually won, defeating Hunter after a string of brogue kicks. This result was a remarkable thing when you consider how little Triple H loses, it remains arguably the biggest win of Sheamus's career, the victory that established him as a big deal in WWE. Hunter sold it fantastically, he didn't return to television for another 10 months.
