WWE And Impact Wrestling: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Mar 5)
7. Poor Seth
Yikes. Promos are rarely so brutal to watch. It wasn’t so much the content itself or Seth Rollins’ performance (though it also was a bit), but the crowd just wasn’t having it. Green Bay did not enjoy the art form known as professional wrestling that cold Monday night and Seth was their biggest victim.
It would have been best to have left him off TV until he had some actual answers, or could compete, or maybe have something kind of interesting to say. The takeaway of it all was maybe...JUST MAYBE...he’ll show up and fight Hunter at WrestleMania. Or not. But he COULD!
It's also foolish when babyfaces promise things they can't possibly deliver. For example, Seth could promise to beat the s**t out of Triple H, and that would be fine, but he swore when he shows up at Mania, it will be “the last thing" Hunter will ever do. If he won’t do anything...he’ll just...not exist? C'mon Seth. I’m pretty sure he’ll do many things after that, mainly showing up at WrestleMania over the next 20 years to take a big match from a younger talent. Rollins is basically setting himself up to fail with that line. It's not a good thing for a hero to do.
Still, I can’t help but feel bad for the guy a bit. When you’re possibly missing out on one of the biggest matches of your life, and yet people are so bored by seeing you again they’ll cheer for a guy who left the company a few years ago, well, that’s not a good sign. The Architect badly needs to be rebuilt...into something else.
