Two long time TNA employees left the company this week. Am I personally saddened and unable to sleep? Nah. But the problem is that nearly every long time identifiable part of the promotion is leaving. It looks like we€™re watching a company on its last legs, making it hard to get invested in anything.

First to go was Christy Hemme, who had been with the company for ten years. While she retired from wrestling in 2009 after a neck injury, she remained a staple of the show as a ring announcer and interviewer. Following her is Velvet Sky, who has been with the company off-and-on (more on-than-off) since 2007. She seems to be one of the first to go whenever the company runs into money troubles. Will she join her boyfriend Bubba Ray in WWE? No.

Also, could TNA, a nationally aired show on cable, please pay someone like $50 to update their roster page? Can they find that in the budget? Currently they still have Austin Aries (in NXT) listed, Angelina Love (contract expired), Bobby Roode (possibly going to NXT), Hemme, Eric Young (gone somewhere), Kurt Angle (retired in TNA land), Micah (disappeared months ago), Mr. Anderson (released), Taryn Terrell (retired), and King freaking Mo, a man who never wrestled a single match for the company and announced his departure LAST JULY!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
