This week on Impact, Gail Kim was kidnapped by Decay right in the middle of the ring. She was taken to the backstage area, and then...brought back later in the night. No one, not any of the dozen or so babyfaces at the arena that night decided to look for her.

Okay, so if you€™re going to kidnap someone in professional wrestling, then the announcers need to be freaking out about it the entire night. Instead, this is an exact quote from Josh Matthews after the first backstage kidnap segment aired:

€œSomewhere inside the Impact Zone Gail Kim is being held by Decay. Inside the six-sided ring, you see the X-Division championship held up by Brian Hebner.€

That€™s it? He's making a "held" comparison equating a woman's life with a sh**ty title? That€™s all the concern he could bother to muster up for the well-being of one of his co-workers and a fellow human being? Well James Storm and Bobby Roode didn€™t come across as any better, because they didn€™t bother to help Gail out until they were SPECIFICALLY NAMED by Decay. So they were totally cool with this abduction until they were called out? Some babyfaces they are.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
