3. Week Three Of Shane

Okay, I could accept a one night only Shane McMahon in control of Raw. It would have been a good way for him to say goodbye (for now) with his head held up high. Two weeks is pushing it, and doubly nonsensical. Week three seems really, really lazy, and insulting to the narrative.

The biggest stipulation over the past year was in play at WrestleMania 32 in Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker. If Shane won, he got control or Raw, and whatever was in the lock box came into play. If Taker won, Shane goes away, and things stay the same. Well Taker won, but he disappeared, and we€™re still given Shane in charge, because we€™re supposed to believe that Vince McMahon has better things to do than run his own company.

Now, Shane is a breath of fresh air from the stale evil bad guy owner formula, but couldn€™t they just have thought about this ahead of time and tried to make his taking charge of the company make a little bit of sense?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
