WCW went out of business in 2001, then they lost in The Invasion later that year, and now once more, they lose again. You won every round WWE. Congrats! In a video a few weeks ago that aired on Raw, Sting (who decided to manipulate his own voice for some reason) lamented on his failure to defeat the NWO while in WCW, and because of that the company died. Apparently since that video was made theyve all made up and are totally cool with each other. Still, wouldnt it have made more sense for DDP, Ric Flair and Booker T to help him out at WrestleMania? What do you think HHHs reasoning was to defeat Sting at Mania? So he could show up later to receive mainstream media attention, and set up a possible match for The Rock next year? Couldnt he have taken the loss and done that anyway? Sure, he jobbed to Daniel Bryan last year, but he has many more matches of losing to atone for his sins of beating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania! What also rubbed those last WCW fans out there the wrong way (or just people who like coherent storylines) was Hunter and Sting shaking hands post match. Hunter had hit him in the face with a sledgehammer just one minute before. Shouldnt he be at least a little upset? Yes, it was a blast to see the NWO and DX battling for the first time ever (minus Scott Hall with a pacemaker needlessly taking a backdrop), but it was also a mess. HBK essentially turned heel again, just like he did when he gave Daniel Bryan Sweet Chin Music and cost him the title. The man has no moral code! Well after the loss, Sting showed up on Raw, except that he got bumped to the after show. The he proceeded to make no sense. What does Sting mean by grabbing the ball if WWE gives it to him? This is why authority figures in wrestling are stupid. Why would Steph and Hunter ever give him a ball? He came in to end their power, he failed, and now hes leaving on his own accord. He doesnt even want a rematch? And lastly, why did the NWO go into this match so unprepared? There was only like seven DX members ever, and 75 NWO guys. Where was Bufff Bagwell, Scott Norton and The Disciple? Sounds like a few of those guys dont understand the meaning of 4-life. Time to kick out. Agree? Disagree? What was your worst wrestling moment of the week? Sound off below and thanks for reading!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
