How many times times does TNA have to go through this? Why do they keep putting wrestlers in big on-air roles only to have their contract come up and leave without putting anyone else over? We saw this with Brooke Hogan, who (thankfully) disappeared after receiving more TV time than anyone else. Later they made it a part of A.J. Styles storyline. They gambled and lost on that one. They also pressed their luck with other talent like Bobby Roode who saw his contract run up while in the midst of a feud. Is there no one in charge of that department? It makes it harder to invest in the product when anyone, at anytime can seemingly leave the company, because their contract ran up and TNA can no longer afford to pay them what they were making. Now Bully Ray wasnt that great of a character at the moment. Hes infinitely better as an overbearing heel than he is as an ass-kissing babyface, but he was pushed as the No. 1 hero in the company. Now hes gone. Thats just embarrassing. And with WWEs recent history of not bringing back talent in their 40s (give or take a Goldust and Batista), Bully is probably not going to be on our TV screens for awhile. So who's going to take his place as the top babyface? Whoever it is, lets just hope that TNA actually has them under contract this time. After all, the 37th time is the charm. Time to kick out!
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
