WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 28)

2. Balor Out

Finn Balor Surgery Too Sweet

Well, that’s a bummer. Another Buckle Bomb, another damaged career.

As pointed out by Daniel Bryan this week, WWE took way too long to bring Finn Balor up to the main roster. Bryan said six months would have been more than enough for The Demon King to learn the WWE style. That seems to be overestimating things by quite a bit. If A.J.Styles could immediately make an impact on the main roster, then Balor surely could have done the same.

Balor could have had well over a year worth of feuds with Rollins, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and Kane (Demon vs. Demon! Eh, maybe not) and made the company money. Besides that, he’d wrestled such a hard-hitting style for so many years that a major injury was bound to happen, just like it did to...hmmmm….I don’t know, Daniel Bryan?

The newest new era is off to a rough start with lackluster ratings, overly long shows and now a major injury to a top star. Here's something to make wrestling life even more depressing: Cameron was called up in a far shorter time than Balor.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
