WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 28)

1. The Titus-Tanic Of Promos

Some things about the brand split are nice, like Dolph Ziggler getting featured more, and watching plenty of new call-ups join the roster. Those are good things. Titus O’Neil struggling to remember his script and form coherent sentences in front of a hostile crowd was not one of those good things.

Until Monday night, I thought Kalisto was a lock for worst promo of the year. I really did. I had already made up the plaque and everything. But then Titus came along, and now we have some serious competition.

Kalisto’s masterpiece was an entertaining train wreck, but Titus was awkward and painful to watch. He stumbled over his introductory sentences, and then seemed to have no idea what to do when fans started cheering for Heath Slater. Then a man born in 1949 attempted to save the segment. It did not work.

If any promo manages to top this in awfulness, it may single-handedly kill the brand split.

Time to kick out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
