WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 31)

3. This Is Not How Feuds Work!

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper (who are taking on the roles of Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre these days) lost to The Big Show and Mark Henry (The Smiling Jackasses) twice, cleanly, within a week. On Raw, they were then beat down by the same babyfaces again, and then a rematch was announced for SmackDown. Why would that be necessary? We were shown that one team is far superior to the other on multiple occasions. So if another rematch had to be booked, the smart thing to do would try to at least give Harper and Rowan a little bit of heat right? Well, that€™s not what happened. At the beginning of SmackDown, Roman Reigns took on Wyatt (a huge match involving two possible future WrestleMania main-eventers that is now devalued from just being thrown out there), and things broke down quickly. Show and Henry ran out (ran may be overstating it a bit) to easily dispose of Harper and Rowan once again. This set up a tag match in the main event...for some reason, as there was really no reason for the babyfaces to get even more revenge. Of course, the final match of the night saw The Friendly Smilers and Reigns defeat The Wyatt Family once more. Now the geriatric giants are 4-0 in this €œfeud.€ The saddest stat of all? Harper now has 11 televised losses in a row, which means he has a worse win/loss record lately than Zack Ryder.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
