WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 31)

2. Gunner In The City

Gunner was never exactly a hot character, but he€™s cooled down quite a bit from his feud with James Storm. After coming out on top of the biggest matches of his career, TNA creative had him go away, and then they had him to go a mental hospital€ to save Sam Shaw. This has still never been fully explained to a satisfying degree. It€™s just a bad fit for both characters, and is dragging them down to embarrassing territory. This week the two travelled to New York. It appeared that they were sharing the same room, which looked friendly. Gunner wanted to go out on the town, maybe see a show or two, and Sam just wanted to sit in the room and draw. Gunner was cool with that, but not with what happened next! When Gunner came back, Sammy boy was wearing his old army outfit. Apparently Gunner brings this with him wherever he goes. First of all, how did Sam Shaw think he was going to get away with his clothes stealing shenanigans in the first place since he looked directly at the cameraman who was in the room with him? Why was there a cameraman there anyway? Does TNA hire one camera man per wrestler to follow them around in their motel rooms? I€™m not sure where this is headed, but I€™m pretty sure I€™m not going to like it one bit. Someone on the writing team has flown over the cuckoo's nest.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
