WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 7)

7. Pokemon Go AWAY!

R Truth Raw

WWE doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone. That’s stating the obvious, of course, but sometimes it just needs to be said again and again in hopes that someone will listen, and so my life’s work won't have been in vain!

Last week on Raw, Golden Truth went Pokemon hunting. As a one-off skit, you could say it was “cute.” Perhaps “timely.” Or “stupid.” Whichever one works for you on a personal level. But it was largely harmless. At least before Pokemon cost The Shining Stars their match. That’s pushing it. This week Truth and Dust are still hunting, and it ended up playing into the finish of a match again.

When the two first joined up, they teased that this was kind of an “old guard” vs. “new guard” storyline, which could have been promising. Of course, why write a story that could have some emotion in there when you can put in a damn Pikachu instead!

This storyline is the Magikarp of storylines. Or more like MagiCRAP! No? Okay, well I tried.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
