WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 7)

6. Welcome Back Jinder!

It’s a New Era! “New” means Finn Balor on the main roster. “New” means Eva Marie not wrestling. “New” means a Two Man Band reunion!

Something about WWE bringing back returning stars doesn’t feel so hot yet. Rhyno was brought in to end Heath Slater’s reign of terror on SmackDown. Jinder Mahal was brought back to end Slater’s era of domination of Raw.

Overall, this was a pretty lousy way for Mahal to return. The company gave him a bit of a push when he debuted by joining Great Khali, and then made him a jobber. WWE brought him back in a way that effectively labels him a lowly mid-card joke to start. This can be fixed, but it would have been easier had they chosen another route.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
