WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (August 23)

7. Deja Puke

For the third week in a row on Raw we were given Mark Henry and Rusev. A match that never needed to exist. I wrote about them last week briefly when they were booked two weeks in a row without any mention that it was a rematch. Certainly WWE doesn€™t think that their audience is so stupid that they wouldn€™t realize they gave us the exact same match three weeks in a row right? Well, at no point, at NO point did the announcers say anything about this. This pseudo match series is a sick, weird case of deja vu. One which you are essentially punished for paying attention or using your memory, as in €œDidn€™t I just see this twice already? Or am I going insane?€ Two weeks ago, Henry lost clean to Rusev. The next week he came out with an American flag for moral support or something. This week the flag returned. See, if the announcers said this was a rematch, then we at least have a little bit of a story. They€™re not insulting our intelligence either. If Henry would be allowed 30 seconds of promo time before the match to say why he wants another chance, then we have something. If WWE pretends or forgets this is a thing that keeps constantly happening, then it makes us question why we continue to watch something we put more thought into than the writers.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
