WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (August 8)

Tapping out to the submission sorority!

This week in the world of wrestling, WWE is trying to convince us that Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar round two is the biggest match of all-time. That€™s quite the marketing ploy. Let€™s just think of things from an audio point. Taker and Steve Austin fought at SummerSlam 1998 with €œHighway to Hell€ by AC/DC as the show's theme. This year, the former UFC Champ and The Deadman will be battling it out to€ Demi Lovato€™s €œCool For the Summer.€ That doesn't sound very big at all. In other news, Lucha Underground wrapped up their first season, with the fantastic Ultima Lucha. It€™s still unclear if there will be a season two. If not, then us wrestling fans deserve to watch Los Matadores vs. The Ascension, and El Torito and Hornswoggle dance offs from here until the end of time! In the biggest question of the week, why would The Miz get a title shot at SummerSlam? Ryback beat him by countout on July 29th€™s Raw, and the other competitors in the match, The Big Show, beat him in a minute last week. Shouldn€™t literally everyone else on the roster be more deserving of that shot? Nah, that€™s silly, because that would mean wins and losses actually mattered, and it would make sense to actually get emotionally invested in the outcomes of matches. That€™s crazy talk! But let€™s not waste any more time. Let€™s make like DDP and feel...the...bang as we uncover WWE and TNA€™s worst of the week!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
