WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Dec 28)

2. What€™s Gotten Into Cole?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Btj40ti-ro Not since the days of Michael Cole€™s heel turn was he as unpleasant to listen to as he was on SmackDown this week. It was bizarre that he was ragging on Sioux City, Iowa all night. It seems that one of the first things a promoter shouldn€™t do is have their lead announcer insult a town they€™ll eventually revisit. Here were a few of Cole€™s attacks that had a good dose of sarcasm behind them:
€œThere€™s no place I€™d rather be the day after Christmas than Sioux City, Iowa!€ €œHow could he forget Sioux City? It€™s such a unique place.€ €œI just realized, there€™s a reason Lewis and Clark didn€™t stay here€Sioux City, that is.€
Also in the show, while the announcers were talking about Cesaro not being home in 10 years to see his family for the holidays Cole snidely said €œWelcome to the club buddy.€ I€™m going to go ahead and say he has seen his family over Christmas during these past 10 years. He does live in the same country as them after all. Lastly, he showed his true announcing skills when Tom Phillips brought up an angle that began on Halloween which Cole responded with €œWow, Halloween? I don€™t remember what happened on Raw. If only we all had that ability.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
