It was bizarre that he was ragging on Sioux City, Iowa all night. It seems that one of the first things a promoter shouldnt do is have their lead announcer insult a town theyll eventually revisit. Here were a few of Coles attacks that had a good dose of sarcasm behind them:
Theres no place Id rather be the day after Christmas than Sioux City, Iowa! How could he forget Sioux City? Its such a unique place. I just realized, theres a reason Lewis and Clark didnt stay hereSioux City, that is.
Also in the show, while the announcers were talking about Cesaro not being home in 10 years to see his family for the holidays Cole snidely said Welcome to the club buddy. Im going to go ahead and say he has seen his family over Christmas during these past 10 years. He does live in the same country as them after all. Lastly, he showed his true announcing skills when Tom Phillips brought up an angle that began on Halloween which Cole responded with Wow, Halloween? I dont remember what happened on Raw. If only we all had that ability.
