WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Dec 7)

2. Planet Dixie

In an interview this week with the UK Huffington Post, Dixie Carter took exception to Steve Austin not referring to them as competition. That was probably the kindest way he could have said it. Dixie responded that the notion that they're not competitors is ridiculous because WWE has tried to €œstop their growth at every turn.€ They have? I don€™t recall any talent raids over these past 12 years like McMahon did to the AWA, NWA and Mid-South in the past. Actually, I don€™t even recall him signing ANY TNA talent when they became available these past few years (outside of Sting). Bully Ray, Tazz and Kurt Angle couldn€™t land jobs back in WWE even when they were there for the taking! Dixie showed she still has a powerful addiction: Vince Russo. She revealed as much in an interview with The Independent:
€œI€™m a big Vince Russo fan, I think he€™s very talented, I think he gets a bad rap.€
Russo couldn't book his way out of a library! Is Dixie also a big fan of going out of business? Because if the demotion from Spike to Destination America wasn't enough a wake up call, then I don't know what it will take for her to re-evaluate who she thinks is suited to head creative.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
