WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Feb 5)
6. Rollins Out
Only Hideo Itami can rival Seth Rollins over the past couple years with repeated badly timed injuries. Rollins is featured much more prominently in WWE than him, so that loss probably feels quite a bit greater to Vince McMahon.
Rollins may be out for WrestleMania once again, and if that’s the case then this latest injury could label him as fragile FOREVER. It’s one of those things that sunk Wade Barrett from ever staying on top, because management thought he might get hurt opening his car door. Then there’s poor Joe who appears to be cursed as well. His first dark match saw Tyson Kidd nearly get killed (sounds like lack of time to prepare for the match was to blame on that), and his first main roster appearance had Rollins going down for the count.
However...this may sound like a giant a**hole thing to say, but maybe this will be good for Rollins' career? As much as WWE tried, the majority of the fans didn’t seem to care that much about his feud with Hunter. Bringing in Joe was the only interesting thing they’d done so far.
Something about The Architect isn’t working as a face. He’s too whiny, his dialogue stinks and his delivery is just as bad. He also threatens innocent children, which is kind of a weird thing for a good guy to do, unless you’re Steve Austin and your rival's kids are actively trying to hurt you. Rollins was largely great as a heel, so maybe once he’s ready to rebuild once more they can have him switch sides. Still, missing out on Mania two years in a row has got to be a metaphorical ring post to the nads.
