6. Michaels Runs Out Of Gas

First off, Shawn Michaels, you’ve used that joke about being worn out because of walking to the the ring multiple times now. We get it, you’re middle aged (though he’s four months younger than Undertaker)! Second of all, bringing him back to participate in a segment featuring Rusev and Jinder Mahal felt a bit beneath him at this point. Third of all...well, the entire thing was pretty bad.

The big problem in the segment is that Rusev was more likeable and funnier than HBK. He has better comedic timing than the retired guy who hams things up like nobody’s business. Major bonus points to Rusev for flat-out not selling Michaels' really bad “Golden Globes” joke by responding with “That must be an American joke, because I don’t get it.” No Rusev, I don’t think anybody got that one.

Also of note is that Rusev is now the go-to guy for getting beat up by guys in their mid-to-late 40s, as The Rock, Goldberg and now Michaels have beaten him like a jobber. It wasn’t even two years ago when he fought John Cena at WrestleMania.

It might be time for him to undergo a change, though not as big as the one Aron Rex went through...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
