WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 10)
1. Final Deletion
I still don’t know if this is one of the greatest things in wrestling history, or something we’ll be looking back on a few years from now as the moment that finally killed TNA for good. Some people loved it, some people hated it, but I will freely admit: I haven’t laughed at something in wrestling this hard EVER.
Now, I’m a man who enjoys a film like Troll 2, or The Room, which are so unintentionally bad that they are amazing. Final Deletion was intentionally bad and...still kind of amazing? However, my main problem, and why it makes the list, is: How can I get invested in any other TNA storyline on the show if I’m just waiting for the Hardy's to do something f***ing crazy again?
If I’m watching Drew Galloway’s quest to regain his gold, or Eddie Edwards and Bobby Lashley going face-to-face in a heated exchange, I’m really just killing time in my mind until Matt and Senor Benjamin ride in a hot air balloon chasing Jeff on his dirt bike.
There really is no coming back from this. TNA either has to jump in and give their entire show an entirely different feel, and embrace this kind of wackiness, or this will end up haunting them. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a xylophone lesson to attend.
Time to kick out.
