WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 20)

Take the next Steiner Line to the station, and discover wrestling’s worst of the week!

One year ago at WWE€™s July pay-per-view The Shield were relegated to the pre-show, Curtis Axel was the Intercontinental Champion, Damien Sandow won the Money in the Bank contract and Adam Rose wasn€™t trying to sell us alcohol and fast food on a weekly basis. It was a simpler time. It was a time that Americans could still feel pride in their country, before Rusev demolished the nation€™s mid-carders. At the second edition of Battleground (the first drew the second lowest pay-per-view buys in company history), we€™re going to celebrate John Cena€™s 15th title reign as he battles Randy Orton for the 20th time on a pay-per-view in some form. We€™ll also wonder who will finally step up to the plate...and become the company€™s next overbearing comedy figure. Without Santino, someone's gotta rise up! So how did WWE fare in their build towards the show? How did TNA do in their first trip to the Big Apple? We€™re here to answer those questions and more. Most likely the answers will be depressing, but there€™s only one way to find out! Read on, take the next Steiner Line to the station, and discover wrestling€™s worst of the week!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
