WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 20)

7. Bray Gets Boring

In the future, WWE should keep in mind how they book their talented heels. When they start at the top, there€™s nowhere else to go but down if they€™re not protected. When a villain loses all of their big feuds no one then takes them seriously (see Alberto Del Rio). Sure, Bray Wyatt can beat Kane, but so can just about anyone (he€™s lost 10 out of his last 12 televised singles matches). Fans don't forget that Wyatt was virtually decimated by John Cena until he found an 8-year-old boy to help him even the odds. Now, Wyatt has been sent down from the main event to the high mid-card against Jericho. Last we saw Jericho, though, he was losing to Fandango and Ryback. It€™s a battle of losers, and The Wyatt Family has basically been pushed as the rich man€™s 3MB€ or maybe the middle class 3MB. It would have been one thing for Wyatt to work his way up from Jericho to Cena, but he€™s going in reverse. Fans know Wyatt only talks a big game. He claims to eat worlds, but probably spends more time eating cream cheese bagels. The newness of seeing Jericho has already worn off faster than it should have. That€™s why it all came to a head on Raw when the best talker in the company was greeted with €œboring€ chants. Fans weren€™t booing him as a heel, they were vocal in their boredom, and that€™s bad. And it's not his fault. But that€™s what WWE gets for overexposing him by having him cut promos every week on Raw and SmackDown, and having him lose every big fight. Bray's future is still incredibly bright, but it's sad to think the crowd's reaction to him on Monday was greeted with the same enthusiasm as a Buff Bagwell match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
