More weird reality of the draft complaints!

If you watched the draft or the WWE special after SmackDown, every single pick was greeted by the announcers with unbridled enthusiasm. Every. Single. One. Renee Young could barely hold her excitement when Sin Cara was taken. However, WWE portrays a great number of their roster as losers, because they lose all the time on TV.

When Jack Swagger’s name was picked, I wish one of the announcers would have stated the obvious. “Swagger? That’s a terrible pick. The man has literally not won a singles match on Raw or SmackDown since February 23rd, 2016 and it was against Stardust! Man, what the hell were Stephanie and Mick thinking? You could grab some guy off the street, train him to be a wrestler for a month, and he would have a better win/loss record than Swagger!”

That’s really not a knock on Swagger. I like the guy, but WWE pushes him horribly, and then asks us to pretend that they haven’t! It’s absurd and a bit intelligence insulting. It’s saying that everything we’ve known about him the past couple years actually didn’t count.

Either don’t push him (and many others) as Barry Horowitz 2.0, or push him that way and admit that’s how he’s positioned. Any other sports announcer wouldn’t ignore the obvious like that. Okay, enough complaining about the draft for now. Let’s have some fun and complain about other things!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
