WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (July 31)

7. 2000’s Hottest Free Agent

Rhyno Heath Slater SmackDown Live

As mentioned in the intro, SmackDown is not exactly looking all that hot. It's WCW Thunder with less lightening effects over the graphics.

The beginning of the show saw all of the members of the roster surrounding the ring. This may end up being the moment John Cena realizes he should do something else with his life. Otherwise, due to the depleted roster in front of him, he likely has lengthy feuds with Viktor, followed by Konnor to look forward to.

It was announced during the show that Shelton Benjamin will be returning soon, which is a nice little boost, but the brand is going to need a lot more than that. Rhyno also returned to the main roster. Again, not a bad thing at all. However, Shane McMahon took things to the extreeeeme by referring to him as the hottest free agent right now. If Rhyno is so hot at the moment, then what was stopping WWE from signing him to a main roster deal anytime after 2005? Who exactly was Shane competing with to sign him? Jeff Jarrett?

Shane is supposed to be the voice of the people, but saying ridiculous things like that makes me worry for him more than his uncontrollable sweating issue.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
