WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 12)

2. Ladder Time Is Joke Time

I dug the opening few minutes of Raw. No McMahons to start out the show, and then there was the interesting visual of all the Money in the Bank competitors on their own ladder. There was actually some humor in it that worked for me, like Chris Jericho being called out on his claim of winning one of the Money in the Bank matches.

However, when the whole segment is built just to be goofy, it doesnt really do much to promote the actual match. Dean Ambrose worked in some of his lines that were probably written by Dolph Ziggler, and he also did his thing where he kind of breaks the fourth wall, and lets us know how things work in professional wrestling.

The match between the six is likely to be a blast, but the build up so far hasnt made anyone look like a credible threat to win the thing. It would be nice if WWE gave a couple guys some momentum headed into the show, but everyone is booked to trade wins and losses so often that all of them feel lukewarm. As much as I would love to see Owens win the case, it would be a lot more exciting if he wasn't being positioned as non-credible Damien Sandow type at the moment.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
