Its frustrating, and kind of pathetic that time and time again TNA pays lip service to their fans by talking about pushing the X-Division. They keep saying it, and nothing ever happens. Recently, they hired the crazy talented Trevor Lee. Hes a fresh face, and someone they could have built the division around. He won the belt right off the bat, and then ever since has been completely and utterly wasted.

A big part of the problem is that the company never lets him talk. Gregory Helms would do it for him, that is when TNA bothered to remember to put their X-Division champ on the show at all. Lee has also been aligned with Andrew Everett and it means absolutely nothing. Without any promos or mission statement, there isnt a lot of opportunities to get over. Well, this week at Slammiversary, Lee lost the gold, and then lost his rematch in four minutes on Impact.

Okay, so the former champ has been pushed down the card, now whos going to take his place? Who in the X-Division can be featured that would make a difference? Eddie Edwards has become their choice for the moment...just because.

TNA has a history of moving from one wrestler to the next, putting the belt on them, not giving them any sort of storyline support, and then has them drop the title a couple months later. Its then onto the next. It hasnt worked for them the past 10 years, and yet they keep repeating this futile process. I swear they could have Rey Mysterio in his prime, and theyd still have him lose to Zema Ion in a three minute, six man match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
