2. Tromboner

Enzo, Cass, New Day

I just cant get into New Day. I recognize that theyre over with the crowd, and theyre one of the best, fan favorite tag teams the division has had since The New Age Outlaws. And yes, now and then they make some sort of side remark that makes me laugh. But, I feel that 90% of their humor is...well, theres no easy way to say this, but its terrible. Sadly, they were not the only guilty ones this week, as Enzo Amore also should have suggested a second draft be done on the script he was given.

Now, maybe Im too old or something, but I dont get how two guys talking about having sex (though they cant say sex since its a PG show) with a trombone for 10 minutes counts as anything but really awful television. Bill Murray and Eddie Murphy in their primes couldn't have made that work. Trombone boning wasn't just a one-off joke either, it just kept going and going.

I mean, are we supposed to think Enzo Amore is a stud for making love to an inanimate object that he stole? Are we supposed to rally behind Xavier Woods to get revenge on his trombone being put in Enzos mouth? This wasnt quite DX reunion or Hornswoggle type bucket of s**t level comedy...but its closer to that than it had any right to be.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
