WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (June 19)
1. Slammiversary Struggles
Do not go gentle into that good night TNA. Rage, rage against the dying of the light! Or at least try to pay the electricity bill to keep the lights on. Dixie Carter had a horrible night that nearly doomed her company at Slammiversary. And then, two nights later on Impact the show was plagued with major technical problems that embarrassingly saw the same commercials played over and over again. Even though it wasnt TNAs fault, it just seemed kind of fitting at this point.
How is it possible that the company didnt have the money in place to run their pay-per-view? They only have like two of those a year! After all their recent financial troubles, how did they not foresee that this was a possibility? And how the hell do they keep announcing that theyre re-signing wrestlers?
In a only in TNA type story, the companys own Chief Financial Officer took to Facebook to talk about his struggles to secure interim financing just to make sure the event made it to air. Imagine that ever happening in WWE, or ROH, or at an indy show thats running at the local VFW.
You hate to see things come to this, but maybe its all just a losing battle at this point. The only news we get from TNA these days is bad news. But hey, at least Dixie got to play hero again on Impact, and slap Maria. If thats not worth losing millions of dollars for, then I dont know what is.
Time to kick out.
