WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 13)
6. McMahon Mania
When the three of us are out there, Stephanie and Shane and me, and throw in Paul because that has happened in the past, oh my God! We could stay out there and entertain each other, much less the audience, for an hour. It would be easy. -Vince McMahon in an interview with The Orlando Sentinel.
In case you had any hopes of Shane McMahon winning his Mania match, and sending The Authority away forever, its best to be very cynical. It seems that entertaining each other is the only goal of the family these days. And if its so easy Vince, then why is it so rarely entertaining to us? I pulled this quote out to show how out of touch, and amazingly self centered the entire McMahon clan is. I mean, damn, remember WrestleMania 2000? That main event was built around the four McMahons, with each wrestler in the match playing a secondary role to the person they were managing. Keep in mind one of the entrants was the future biggest box office star on the planet, and another was Mick Foley in his (at the time) final match. Another guy was The Big Show and... eh, who cares. But the point is that was 16 years ago! How is it possible that were still doing this?
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
