WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 13)

2. King Of The Dump

New talent is good. Throwing new talent out there without explaining who they are and expecting us to care is not good. There have only been a handful of King of the Mountain matches in TNA history, which is fine, because it€™s a really stupid thing that sometimes happens. BUT, the company in the past has treated it as one of their premiere matches. Last year saw Slammiversary main-evented with Jeff Jarrett winning the King of the Mountain Title. This week on Impact, the match was thrown out there with no mention that it was even coming, involving a guy we€™d never seen before. The talented Will Ospreay was in the ring, with no introduction, and we were told by Josh Matthews that he€™s one of the best high-flyers in the world. Oh, and he lost. Welcome to TNA? The other competitors were Jimmy Havoc, a man who lost his first match the prior week, Big Damo, a man who lost his first match the prior week as well, and Bram. How are we supposed to care about the King of the Mountain Title when you only get a shot at it if you LOSE or just show up off the street? The company has tried like five times to make a relevant title out of that belt and failed every singles time. There€™s nothing left to be done, except throw it in a dumpster far away where Jim Duggan will never find it.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
