WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (March 8)

5. Do Your Homework!

Everybody employed in professional wrestling is lazy. I€™m not even talking about the people that book the shows and write the backstage segments. Because that's pretty obvious. It seems that from a storyline standpoint, everyone that Vince McMahon, Stephanie and Hunter hire are atrocious at their jobs! They hire people like Vickie Guerrero and John Laurinaitis to run their primetime TV shows even though they€™ve been portrayed as being barely capable of dressing themselves. They also put announcers in charge of their shows who have disturbingly severe memory problems. This week on SmackDown, Kane and Ryback were going to fight and depress a nation. Before the match, the announcers predicted who they thought would win. They were split. However, none of them bothered to mention that Ryback was the absolute clear favorite because he just beat Kane two SmackDowns ago in a one-on-one match in under four minutes! How about the time he also beat him in December on SmackDown or at TLC in a pay-per-view match the week before that? Try to imagine any announcer for any team in any sport not remembering that what they were seeing was a direct rematch. WWE wants to make us forget that things happen, because they€™re too lazy to put in an effort. But wouldn€™t it be more interesting if what we saw two weeks before mattered? Kane could say he was embarrassed by losing so easily and wanted another go at it. There, that€™s it. I mean, it doesn€™t mean the match will be good, but the idea of the match at least doesn€™t insult anyone€™s intelligence.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
