WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (May 3)

2. Break A Leg Jeff!

TNA is not having good luck with their tag team champions lately. Eddie Edwards broke his heel, and along with Davey Richards, had to forfeit the tag titles. This week, Jeff Hardy, who is one half of the current champs, broke his tibia while riding a dirt bike. Some people like to ride dirt bikes in their free time, some do not. Some like to go over big jumps while their brother records them on their cell phone. But a man who essentially stars in a TV show should probably not be doing that. There€™s a good reason why pro athletes often have stipulations in their contract for not doing €œextreme€ things. That€™s part of the reason why we won€™t see Rhonda Rousey in a WWE ring, because she could get hurt and miss a UFC pay-per-view. Jeff has been on his best behavior for a few years, but this is still the man who once ruined a pay-per-view main event due to being high on drugs. It€™s kind of hard to ever get over that one. But he has done pretty well for himself, even though he has to miss overseas tours because of his troubles with the law. At 37, Jeff has not only hurt himself, but the company he works for as well. On this week€™s Impact, he was advertised for SlammiverSary, which is incredibly unlikely to happen now. With TNA getting some mainstream attention with Billy Corgan jumping on board, it€™s unfortunate that perhaps their most popular act will be out of action for some time. It may be a good time for Jeff to find a new hobby in his free time. Lucky for him, there€™s plenty of good videogames out there!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
