WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 13)
1. Win...Or ELSE!...Or Maybe Not. I Don't Know.
I’m convinced that no other scripted show on TV is as insultingly stupid as Raw. The only other show that even comes close is SmackDown. It’s a shame, as so many incredible talents are being wasted, and made less financially successful due to the fault of the people handing them their scripts.
On Raw, Steph told her Survivor Series team that their jobs depended on the outcome of the match before throwing a tantrum and running off. For starters, remember Survivor Series 2014? How long did Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan remain unemployed for. We kind of just did this.
Second of all, why was the fact that she threatened to get rid of five of her biggest stars not a focal point of the show after that? None of the wrestlers faced with termination, nor the announcers, thought that was worth repeating or being worried about. Shouldn't someone have stated that at the very least that's not a wise business decision?
How does SmackDown then in return not feature a segment of Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan talking about the poor-working conditions of Raw? Hell, go all in and have them reach out to the red brand stars and let them know they can find work on their show after their upcoming unemployment. No other TV show would write a line like "boss threatens to fire five people", and then not write in a follow up line on how those characters WOULD REACT!
WWE is maddening in that some big storyline implications were teased, and then completely forgotten. Perhaps it would just be best to forget this past week of their programming happened.
Time to kick out.
