Stardust is now wearing black and red attire, along with some fashionable spikes as an accessory. So that means hes aligned with The Ascension right? Except half the time on TV hes not. On some episodes of Raw and SmackDown he shows up in the crowd with the group in the exclusive Stardust Section. Other episodes he doesnt. SmackDown saw Stardust battling Alberto Del Rio, who had Zeb Colter by his side, because that is a continuing relationship. Stardust doesnt have that. He didnt bring his stablemates with him again. Vicktor and Konnor didnt show up in his promo, the announcers didnt mention them a single time or wonder where they were at, and they didnt come with their leader to ringside. Why? Did they have something better to do? This isnt a one time occurrence either. Half the time Stardust shows up there is no mention of his wasteland buddies. This ignoring of WWEs newest mid-card faction isnt the companys biggest sin, but its a confusing one. How can a television show write stories that sometimes include a group of three men joining together, and then ignore it on the next episode? On The Sopranos, Paulies alliance with Tony Soprano sure didnt vary week to week. Okay, so we dont have to expect WWE writing to match HBO standards, but can their creative team at least aspire to the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon? Shredder always had Bepop and Rocksteady by his side, they didnt just disappear when the animators didnt feel like drawing them.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
