WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 20)

4. The Debut Of The DCC

The DCC

As many times as we’ve seen it happen before, I’m still a sucker for a badass faction whose trying to wreak havoc on a company. Most of TNA’s attempts at this have been absolutely terrible. Aces and Eights was intriguing for the first few weeks, then they stunk when we found out they were easily beatable and composed of a bunch of former WWE wrestlers and Garret Bischoff. TNA seems to be repeating itself again with the DCC.

Last week the group of Bram, James Storm and Eddie Kingston took part in some of the Hardy brothers silliness, which didn’t seem to fit their characters, now they’re having trouble winning with the odds on their side. The new group battled Jeff Hardy and Eddie Edwards in basically a no-DQ handicap match, and it took them 14 minutes to win!

There were some cool spots in the match, and it’s nice that they won, but it was not an impressive debut. They should have manhandled the stars since they had a big advantage. It would have made a statement. Then when Matt Hardy's amnesia is cured they can even the odds. Now it seems like it would be a massacre in a straight up 3-on-3 match.

DCC can still likely be salvaged, but without us knowing what kind of mission they’re on, and with a lackluster first match, it’s going to be difficult.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
